Award-Winning Coding Platform Offers Free Virtual Coding Course For Kids | Associated press
CHICAGO and ST. LOUIS, Jan. 7, 2022 / PRNewswire / – Codeverse and University tutors teamed up to stimulate children’s creativity through coding with an exciting and fun virtual classroom, Create your first video game. The free interactive class led by Katy Lynch, Co-Founder of Codeverse, will show kids how their creativity and imaginations can come to life through coding. Students will collaborate with Katy to choose colors, sound effects, fun items, and play events using real coding principles. But the fun doesn’t end there: after class, students will receive free Codeverse accounts to continue iterating and developing their own game, and Codeverse will select a student to submit their game to the Google Play and Apple App stores.
Anyone can sign up for a free Codeverse account where they can play games created by other kids, learn how to bring their ideas to life, and create amazing games that they can share with family and friends.

The class is part of the Beginner Coders Club, an after-school club organized by Varsity Tutors. In the club, groups of 6-9 learners meet weekly for interactive sessions led by experts to create and play games while learning the basics of computer programming.
