Introduction to Coding will be taught from April 4 to May 2 at CFCC’s North Campus in Castle Hayne.

CASTLE HAYNE – Cape Fear Community College will launch a basic computer coding course next month.

Introduction to Coding will be taught from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesdays from April 4 to May 2 at CFCC’s North Campus in Castle Hayne, according to a press release. This is CFCC’s first continuing education course in programming and will cover topics such as syntax, data types, program organization, algorithm design, and logic control structures. Continuing education courses are intended to help employees develop new professional skills.

“I am very happy to host a continuing education course on Introduction to Coding this spring,” said Melissa Watson, chair of the school’s Business and Technology department. “The course will give students a taste of what a career in the technology industry is like and add to their skills.”
