Las Piñas Friendship Highway stickers do not exempt motorists from the digital coding system – Mayor Aguilar

The city government of Las Piñas clarified that vehicles with Friendship Highway decals are not exempt from the extended numeric coding system implemented by the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA).

Mayor Imelda Aguilar said vehicles with Friendship Road stickers should only be used inside subdivisions during the number coding scheme and not along the Alabang-Zapote road.

Aguilar informed all motorists that the city prohibits vehicles with license plates ending in numbers 1 and 2 on Mondays, 3 and 4 on Tuesdays, 5 and 6 on Wednesdays, 7 and 8 on Thursdays and 9 and 0. Friday from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. am and 5pm-8pm

She also said that the vehicles exempt from the ban are public utility vehicles (including tricycles), transport network vehicle services, motorcycles, garbage trucks, tank trucks, government vehicles marked , fire engines, ambulances, marked media vehicles and motor vehicles carrying essential goods and/or perishables.

The mayor asked residents to follow the digital coding system to ease traffic in the city during rush hour.
